Now in Hainan

2020 is the year where Hainan province will become China's 12th free trade zone. It is the first time an entire province will be set up as a free trade zone in China and expectations are high that it will bring about great changes to the province.

The aim is to switch the provinces' main focus to tourism and service sectors from manufacturing. The plan is also to expand the country's ''Belt and Road'' policy and make it easier to facilitate cultural exchanges in fields such as education and agriculture. Recruitment of highly skilled foreign personel is not only needed, but also highly encouraged. This all means that coming to Hainan province will become easier than ever. Visa rules and regulations will become laxer and a lot of the hassle in order to obtain work permits and other important documentation will be a thing of the past.
